 Maria Fe Celi Reyna

Maria Fe is a Peruvian social researcher and a firm believer of interdisciplinary research. She is a PhD student in Global History at Shanghai University.

She has a MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) of the University of Sussex (UK) and a BA in Anthropology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). During the past ten years, she has dedicated to qualitative research mainly related to rural areas in Peru and to Nutrition worldwide as a part of the team of HANCI Index from IDS. She has also been an Adjunct Professor at PUCP and Cayetano Heredia University in Peru.

She arrived in China two years ago, thanks to a Confucius Institute and studied Chinese language and Culture for a year at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). This experience motivated her to continue studying about China and the country’s relations with the world, specifically with Latin America.
