In the spring semester of 2020, students and teachers of Shanghai University and the University of Zurich in Switzerland collaborated in a climate diplomacy simulation class. In mixed groups, uniting students from both universities, representing seven countries, they established the climate position of their countries and then negotiated a "global" (okay, seven country) agreement on climate change prevention. It was not at all certain if these negotiations would be successful, but now the result is out: there is a  Shanghai-Zurich Agreement on Climate Change Mitigation!

Thank you, Professor Antoine Acker, indispensable assistants Camille Schneiter and Kai Kersten, and all participating students for making this happen! :-)
