James Webb

James Webb is Professor of History at Colby College, USA. Among his many awards he has received grants from the Wellcome Trust (GB), the National Institutes of Health/National Library of Medicine ​(USA)​, and the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He is the author of five monographs on various aspects of the history of global health as well as numerous articles, published in journals both in the humanities and the natural sciences.  His recent books include The Long Struggle Against Malaria in Tropical Africa (Cambridge University Press, 2014) and Global Health in Africa, co-edited with Tamara Giles-Vernick, (Ohio UP, 2013).

James Webb was visiting scholar at the Center through the High-end Foreign Expert Program in March/April 2018.
