Cengiz Mert Bulut

 

Cengiz Mert Bulut currently pursues his PhD studies in the Department of Global Studies at Shanghai University. After his undergraduate degree in International Relations, he became interested in International Political Economy. In his Master's degree studies he undertook a realist analysis of debt crises from an IR perspective. His doctoral studies focused on Chinese foreign aid to Tanzania during the Mao Zedong period. Specifically, he focuses on the socialist roots of Chinese aid to Tanzania and its relationship between rural development and health in Tanzania.

Bulut has co-authored two book chapters published by international publishers and two academic journal articles in WoS-indexed journals. More information on his publications can be found here. During his doctorate studies at Shanghai University, Bulut was awarded the Chinese Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship in 2019 by China Scholarship Council.
