Marcos Cueto
Marcos Cueto is Professor at the Casa Oswaldo Cruz, Fiocruz in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and editor of the journal História, Ciências, Saúde – Manguinhos. He did his studies atthe Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Lima, and Columbia University, New York, and has been visiting scholar at numerous international institutions, including the Graduate Institute (Institut de Hautes ètudes Internationales et du Développement), Geneva, Princeton University, Stanford University and the Woodrow Wilson International Center, Washington D.C.
Until 2011, he was Director of the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos, Lima, Peru. His many publications include Medicine and Public Health in Latin America A History [with Steve Palmer (Cambridge University Press 2015) and Cold War and Deadly Fevers: Malaria Eradication in Mexico, 1955-1970 (John's Hopkins University Press 2007).
Marcos Cueto was visiting scholar at the Center through the High-end Foreign Expert Program in November 2017.
