Merhawi Yemane
Merhawi Yemane is from Eritrea, where he completed his BA degree majoring in History from the University of Asmara, Eritrea. He completed his MA degree in Political Theory in 2020 from East China Normal University. His MA thesis explores “Chinese Foreign Direct Investment in Ethiopia: Motivations and Challenges.”
He has been working in the research and Documentation Center of his country for several years in which he contributed two articles for local publications regarding Eritrean history. Currently Merhawi is a PhD student in Global Studies at Shanghai University, doing his research on the political and economic aspects in the Horn of Africa which is more focused on economic integration.
